This site, global100.org (the "Site"), publishes the Global 100 AI Content Integrity Index. References to "we," "our," or "Global 100" refer to the operators of this Site. References to "you" refer to any visitor or user of this Site.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
We collect information you give us directly. This includes information submitted through the contact form, platform submission inquiries, media inquiries, and any email correspondence with us. Typical fields are name, organization, email address, inquiry type, and message content.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect limited technical information for security, rate limiting, and aggregate analytics. This includes:
- IP address (truncated where feasible)
- Country code (derived from IP at the edge)
- User-agent string
- Referring URL
- Pages visited and time of visit
We do not use third-party analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or social media pixels. Page-view logs are stored in our own first-party database hosted on Cloudflare D1.
2.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set any first-party cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalization. The Site uses no third-party cookies. Cloudflare, our edge provider, may set technical cookies required for security, rate limiting, or bot mitigation. Those cookies are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
3. How we use information
We use the information collected for the following purposes:
- To respond to your inquiries and process platform submissions
- To monitor Site security, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits
- To analyze aggregate traffic patterns and improve content
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection applies, our legal bases for processing personal information are:

- Legal obligation, when we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law

- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements

- Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Specifically:
- Inquiry and contact form submissions: up to 24 months from the date of submission, or longer if required to respond to an ongoing matter
- Server logs and analytics records: up to 12 months
- Rate limit counters: up to 48 hours
After these periods, data is deleted or anonymized.
7. Data security
We protect your information using industry-standard security measures including HTTPS everywhere, HSTS, a strict Content Security Policy, and security headers including X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy, and Permissions-Policy. We restrict access to your data to personnel who need it to perform the purposes outlined in this policy. Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
8. International data transfers
Global 100 is operated from servers managed by Cloudflare, Inc. Data may be processed in jurisdictions other than your own. Cloudflare maintains data processing agreements that include standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission for cross-border transfers. By using this Site, you consent to the transfer of information to countries that may have data protection laws different from those in your country.
9. Children's privacy
This Site is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@global100.org and we will delete it promptly.
10. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party sites, including ranked platform homepages and source citations. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review the privacy policies of any third-party site before submitting personal information.
11. Editorial data and rankings
The Site publishes rankings, scores, and analysis of AI detection and content authentication platforms. These rankings are based on independent testing and methodology disclosed at our methodology page. Platforms named in the index are commercial entities, not individuals, and information published about them does not constitute personal data under most privacy laws.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
