The 2026 Global 100 Rankings
The inaugural Global 100 AI Content Integrity Index marks a defining year for the detection industry. Average detection accuracy improved 4.2 percentage points year-over-year, with the largest gains in Voice and Audio Detection.
Visual Forensics leads the index for the first time
Seven platforms scored above 95 on overall integrity. Deepfake Detector claimed the top position with a 97.4 overall score, the first Visual Forensics platform to lead the index. Its multi-modal coverage across image, video, and audio detection set the new bar for breadth. GPTZero and Originality.ai maintained strong positions, while the emergence of C2PA Verify in Content Authentication signals growing institutional demand for provenance-based verification.
Average detection accuracy across all categories improved 4.2 percentage points year-over-year, with text detection leading at 94.3% mean balanced accuracy.
Notable new entrants
AI Voice Detector entered the Voice Detection category at rank 8 overall, the highest debut in that category to date. ElevenLabs Detect (rank 21) and Attestiv (rank 20) also entered with scores above 88. The Academic Integrity category saw the least movement, with Turnitin and Copyleaks continuing to dominate through deep LMS integration and established institutional relationships.
Transparency emerges as a competitive differentiator
Transparency scores showed the widest variance across the index, ranging from 83.7 to 97.1. Platforms with published research papers and open-source detection components consistently outscored proprietary-only solutions, reinforcing the index's emphasis on methodological openness as a core integrity metric.
