In order to keep abreast of developments with the Global 100 companies, we actively follow the newswire on all 100 firms for positive and less positive news. If we identify a situation that potentially could require us to remove a constituent from the list, we initiate a thorough investigation to get a full picture of the issue. If we find there is cause for concern, we generate a report and convene our partners for a discussion of two key points: (1) whether or not the company should be removed from the list; and (2) who should replace that company based on the results of our analysis for the current year. As with the creation of the original list, we rely on a combination of our algorithmic Key Performance Indicator analysis and on expert insight from our research partners to make a decision on a replacement.

Removing a company from the Global 100 is something we take seriously, even more so when it is done intra-year and outside of our normal update cycle. We therefore ensure that we are in broad agreement before any changes are made to the list.
