The Global 100 out-performed its benchmark, the MSCI All Country World Index (ACWI), by 3.21% from inception (February 1st, 2005) to December 31st, 2013.

The Global 100 also out-performed the world’s two other premier sustainability indexes in the global equity asset class: the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (by 28.46%) and the FTSE 4 Good index (by 37.94%) over the same time period.

We attribute this excess return to the growing investment relevance of core sustainability themes, including water scarcity, rising energy prices and growing competition for human capital, all of which are captured in the Global 100 index methodology.
